GTI to launch 'Eco Songwriting Competition' in partnership with the NUS

GTI are to launch their unique 'Eco Songwriting Competition' in October 2009.

 It's  an  incredible  way  to  engage  people  and  get  them  thinking  about  green  issues. 
 Reaching  out  to  the  UK  student  population  we  are  looking  for  the next James  Morrision,  Lily Allen  or JLS,  or  it  could  be  the  next genius  with  a  talent  for  writing  lyrics. 

 But  we  aren’t  looking  for  finished  records,  it’s  the  ideas  and  the  esssence  of  the  message  we  are  looking  for, demos  or  just  lyrics  are  all  excepted.

Steve Foster completes London Marathon in 3 hours, 58 minutes!!!

Steve Foster (The Director of GTI) competed in the Flora London Marathon 2009. Finishing in an astonishing time of 3 hours and 58 minutes!!! Beating celebrities including Gordon Ramsay, Ronan Keating, Katie Price & Peter Andre.

Steve is now training for the Berlin Marathon in September 2009.

GTI MUSIC ACADEMY BUTLINS - HUGE SUCCESS!!!

The first GTI Music Academy was held at Butlins, Bognor Regis on the 19th April and was a huge success!!!

Singing “Valerie” by Amy Winehouse, 12 year old Abbey Rowlands from Chesnut, Hertfordshire walked away with 1st prize, a record deal with GTI Records.

Abbey said, “it was an amazing experience and I can’t wait to see my single on sale.”

Butlins have teamed up with record production company GTI to bring you an outstanding event at Bognor Regis on Sunday 19th April!

Yes, auditions start at 12 noon and we will be selecting 5 acts to perform on our ‘Reds Stage’ that evening in front of the Butlins audience, what an opportunity!!

George Thomas Int artist '2 Different People' launches chart attack with muppet classic Bein Green

George Thomas International are proud to announce the forcoming release of our new single 'Bein Green' from the EDF Energy UK TV Advert.

In January 2008 EDF Energy featured the song 'Bein Green' in its advertising campaign promoting sustainability. Following 60,000 views of the advert on You Tube and a ringing endorsement from Lily Allen on her Myspace blog EDF Energy decided to re-record the song with new act 2 Different People.

The song, originally sung by Kermit the Frog in the 1970's highlights the difficulty of 'being green'.
Originally intended to highlight racial issues, the song has taken on new meaning in the 21st Century as we strive to tackle climate change and reduce
our carbon footprint.

The new version of the song will feature in the latest EDF Energy advertising campaign and all of EDF Energy's proceeds are going to its
Green Fund which has been awarded nearly £1.3 million to 82 projects in schools, nurseries and colleges throughout the country, for solar power, wind turbines, biomass boilers, ground source heat pumps and feasibility studies.

EDF Energy's Greener Schools programme aims to reach 2.5 million children by 2012, showing pupils, teachers and parents how they can make real and practical change to their energy and water usage at school, at home and within the community.

Cat Francis is the lead singer of 2 Different People, a 21 year old blonde bombshell from Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire and this is her debut single.
